Happy Tuesday, friends! I woke up thinking today was Wednesday. I don't know about you but I'm already wishing it was the weekend. Since sunshine is in our forecast here in Savannah for the rest of the week I'm thinking a pool/beach day is in my future.

I've got a serious case of the tassel-obsession lately. I can't get enough of the trend this summer and I'm throwing it all at you in today's outfit!

When I saw this grey tassel tee I picked it up right away. I love the fun detail and it pairs easily with my white skinnies. I added tassel earrings, purse and shoes too in case my obsession was not clear.

This is a fun casual look for the summer! I'm ready for a fun date night or brunch! Are you loving the tassel trend too?

The Blog Struggle is Real

So truth be told, I don't have a hired professional taking my blog photos. I want to get to that point eventually with my blog but until then I rely on my Instagram husband and family/friends that don't get annoyed at my request to stop and take pictures of me.

The other evening my #igbestie, Megan of Being Mrs. Fowler, said she'd come over after work to take pictures. I took all three kiddos with me and she brought her sweet baby and a session that could have taken a quick 10-15 minutes turned into setting up strollers, grabbing the sleepy babies out of the car, making sure my other two don't run into the street and then telling them to stop running behind where we are wanting to take pictures. Sheesh!

Anyways, it was comical. The blog struggle is real people, for this mommy-wanna-be-fashion-blogger.

I haven't done one of these posts in a long time...

These posts were the reason I started taking selfies of my outfits in the first place. I was tired of wearing the same drab outfits to work and I wasn't feeling pretty. I stumbled across a mommy blogger who started a What I Wore link-up series every week. Springing to Style

Today, I teamed up with my sweet and beautiful friend, Emily at With Style & Grace  to show how we styled this floral tunic to transition into spring. We mixed some of our favorite winter pieces with the tunic to make it weather appropriate since it's still cool outside. 

We found this tunic from Belk but I've linked a similar version below, too. 

I chose to tuck this tunic into a pair of boyfriend jeans to increase the wear of of the tunic. I love the bright pop of spring color. Brights are a great way to transition into spring. The minute it gets warm in Georgia, I bring out my brights and floral prints. 

Emily does a great job of transitioning the tunic layering it with a denim jacket and pairing it with leggings and booties. I absolutely love her look!

#RockYourRedShoes Style Challenge

I recently picked up a pair of red flats from Forever 21. I wanted a pair just to add a pop of color in my wardrobe. I am so happy I ordered them because I teamed up with Loan of Skip to the Details and Emily of Sugar + Spice + Everything Mostly Nice for a fun style challenge-- Red Shoes Three Ways!

I opened up the style challenge to our Instagram community and I can't wait to see how everyone rocks their red shoes! I'll choose my favorites to feature on a future post!

Red shoes are so much fun, in any form they come in! It's a great classic color if you are dipping your toes in adding a pair of colored shoes in your closet.
