I am Thankful

I am thankful for:
1. My family. They are always there for me and they make me happy.

2. My husband, Noah. I couldn't ask for a better partner. My love for him grows with each passing minute.

3.  My two healthy baby girls. I kiss their precious little cheeks every chance I get and Thank God these gifts were given to me.

4. My amazing friends. I'm thankful for my old and new ones that are in my life.  I can always count on them.

 5.  My new job. So far, it has been such a great experience to try something new. It's like a brand new start.

What are you thankful for this holiday?

I hope you have a great time with your loved ones and take the time to really enjoy the little things!

Trend Report: Sweatpants

I have a current fashion obsession: trouser sweatpants

I was pretty excited to see sweatpants trending in the fashion world. I mean who doesn't like lounging in a pair of comfy sweats? At first, you're like-- sweatpants and heels? Sounds like a horrible combination in your head, but I've seen them styled in some really cute ways!

Let me show you some ways they can be worn by models in the catalogs...

I like them both styled up with a pair of heels or boots, or styled down with flats or tennis shoes. I found a pair from Target last weekend and I think they just might be the perfect pair of pants to wear to Thanksgiving! I mean stretchy pants are a must when that much eating and lounging about is going down, right?

Here are some ways I have seen these chic sweatpants worn in real life. Are you a fan?

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

Danielle of Just Dandy looks so adorable in her monogram sweatshirt and polka dot skirt! I just happen to have the same Old Navy skirt and a monogram sweatshirt so I was excited to be able to pull off a similar look! I made this glitter monogram shirt and it has been my favorite DIY project to date this fall/winter! It was so easy and I just received my cutting machine to be able to produce other fun cutting projects so stay tuned! That is, if I ever figure out how to use it lol!

(thanks to my three-year old photographer for this last pic! She's a natural!)

Pinspired: Deer Art

This week I got a bit crafty and managed to make two pins come to life! That's pretty much a miracle with two toddlers running around my crazy house.  Anyway, I am getting ready to take my Christmas decorations out and I needed some fresh decor.

Here is the first project from this week. I had a little help from Ava and Lily and we transformed their little feet into adorable reindeer! Just a bit of acrylic paint and some adhesive googly eyes and voila!

My Version:

Another DIY project complete was inspired by the below pin.

I like this one too. I think I'm going to copy cat that merry and bright in a frame too!

I simplified the instructions from the first glitter deer art link and I think you'll find it's a bit easier and less messy. Hope you enjoy!

Step 1: I used the same template as in the first set of the instructions (found here). I printed it out and cut the outline out.

Step 2: I just happened to find this gold glitter foam sheet while wandering around the art section and it worked perfect! I actually liked it a lot better since it was less messy and it gives a pop-up effect on the canvas!

Step 3: I used the cut-out and turned the glitter foam sheet over. I used a pen to trace the outline.

Step 4: I used scissors to cut the outline. I decided I didn't want to mess with cutting the holes in the antlers. I think it looks good with just the outline of the antlers.

Step 5: I used spray adhesive as directed on the can.

 The end product!

What you'll need for this project:
template
Canvas (they come in a 2-pack)-- just in case you want to make the first project too!
Glitter foam sheet (about $.87)
adhesive spray or glue
scissors
writing utensil

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

Wow, I'm embarrassed at my lack of blogging lately. But I haven't forgotten about it. I've had so much on my plate I feel like. New job, this awful time change (not a fan of it getting dark so early), and nightly visits to the hospital have been my un-motivators. Hopefully the rest of the month I'll pick it up and not neglect bloggy so much!

You'll notice something different from my previous wiww post. I chopped off my hair! I needed a change and a haircut is the perfect way for a dramatic one!

Sweater: Forever 21
Skirt: Target
Boots: Forever 21
Necklace: Ell and Emm (Audrey Classic)
