THE Blanket Scarf

Yup, it's that scarf you see all over the Instagram universe! The coveted Zara blanket scarf. Whether or not you have the original or the dupe, it doesn't matter. It is still pretty awesome. I managed to snag one this season. I wasn't going to go through this fall and winter without it. We don't have a Zara anywhere near me and it was sold out so fast last season. This year it wasn't available so I found mine on AliExpress. You can buy it here.

Confession: I was secretly sweating wearing this scarf for the shoot. It's not exactly fall in Savannah. The mornings are cool but then you burn up by lunch time. So, as much as I want to be sporting my blanket scarf for reals, here is what I wish I could be wearing. Hopefully GA weather will get with the program soon.

What I Wore Wednesday {#wiww}

Hello loves! It's that time again. I'm linking up with Lindsey of the Pleated Poppy to share with you what I have been wearing. I joined the link-up as a way to build my confidence and it has turned into so much more. I have been introduced to so many wonderful bloggers and ladies just like me, just trying to find something to wear... one outfit at a time.

Which is your favorite look?

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

Happy hump day! Welcome to another WIWW post! This is a fun link up I joined a couple of years ago as encouragement to really think about my outfits. It is amazing what a difference it makes when you are wearing something that changes your whole attitude. I feel much more confident and happy when I'm not lazy about getting dressed! Check out all the inspiration you could get by joining the link-up!

Pretty Southern Wedding

This past weekend, one of my good girlfriends got married. The weather, the atmosphere, all the details, and the bride... everything was beautiful. I just thought I would share with you some of my favorites from the weekend!

I made these special hangers for the wedding. They were perfect to hang our dresses. We we undecided about dresses until about a month from the wedding. We stumbled upon these perfect evening dresses on the clearance rack at Sears, of all places. And what's even better? Oh you know the usual $200 bridesmaids tend to spend? Try $17! Yup! It couldn't have worked out better for us and we got so many compliments that night!

The bridal party: Me, Shelby and Makenna

What is a southern wedding without boiled peanuts?

I also designed custom champagne flutes for the bride and groom.

I love this picture of Dawn's daughter and nieces.

This is one of my favorite shots. Us with the beautiful bride!

This is just a sneak peek at what the professional photographer took. I can't wait to see the rest!

Plaid + Stripes

I have been oogling over this J.Crew vest for awhile now, but can't handle the price tag for it.

 I was so excited to find out TJ Maxx/Marshall's had a similar version for $29.99! That price I can handle. None of the stores in Savannah had them in stock and I was getting bummed, but I went to Instagram to expand my search and my friend Hannah found it! I was super excited! This vest will get some great wear this fall and winter!

Madrac Farms 2014

We visited Madrac Farms this past weekend. We like to visit a pumpkin patch in the fall and we have yet to visit one when the weather feels like fall. Welcome to the South! We visited the corn maze, took lots of pictures, saw some animals, and the girls enjoyed sliding down the bouncy house. I love fall activities. Now I'm just waiting for the temps to cool down so it actually feels like fall! I mean come on, its the end of October almost!

Donut Worry, Be Happy

I have a thing for sprinkled donuts. There is just something so fun and happy about this print. When I saw January Hart's Instagram/blog post with this skirt I was totally "Smitten" and knew I wanted it immediately.

January was super sweet and she had no problem with making my skirt a few inches longer. I bought this Target sweater a few weeks ago and it was a match made in donut heaven!

When the skirt arrived in the mail I squealed with delight!

My friend Dawn was nice enough to snap some shots of me the other day. Of course I left all my jewels at home. Oh well. These donuts make the outfit anyway!
