Easter Past and Easter Present 2013

I hope everyone had a great Easter. Mine was spent with family and I wouldn't have it any other way. During the holidays I always like looking through previous years' pictures to see how my babies have grown.

Ava first. This is her fourth Easter. Four years have gone by and she has changed so much since that first Easter. Shall we go back in time?
2010: The hat and bib were bigger than she was, lol!

2011: She just turned one and was ready for her first Easter egg hunt.

2012: We were in Orlando for Easter last year.

2013: My big girl!

Now its Lily's turn. This is her second Easter.
2012: She wore the same bib her big sister wore.

2013: What a difference a year makes. She couldn't sit on her own last year and this year she is walking and picking her own eggs on her first egg hunt.

Time really flies and I just like to take moments to remember each phase.

Here are more fun pictures from this year.

Lily looked so adorable in this Gwen Stafani dress her Auntie Seal picked out for her!

 With her cousins and friends

Ava stopped to help her baby sis by placing eggs in her basket. So sweet!

It's Friday, I'm in Love!

It's that time again where I share with you what my current obsessions are for the week. I know you've been dying to find out.

I fell in love with this necklace after seeing the lovely Corrine wear it. Check out more photos of her colorful outfit and this beautiful necklace on her blog, The Lookbook. Gorgeous, right?

Another inspiration for my list was from blogger, Caroline, from Caroline in The City. I am obsessed with this shirt. But of course, I would get Georgia. I love the way she styled this shirt with a blazer and jewels!
Go check out her post (here) for more details on this company and T-shirt!

The last two items on my list this week remind me of spring time so much. Something about pastel colors have always drawn me in.

Well, I hope everyone has a very nice weekend and a nice spring break (I'm jealous!).

Thanks for reading :)

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

Even though the weather here has been chilly and not so spring-like I've been determined to put some spring into my outfits this week. I can't wait to bust out those maxi dresses and cute open toe shoes but for now i'll settle with adding color.

I love these royal colors together, very bright and cheery. You'll notice a theme in this picture and the rest on this post, I have an obsession with statement necklaces.

Outfit 1 Details:
Sweater: Forever 21
Jeans: Marshall's
Flats: Old Navy
Bracelet: (gifted) from The Loft
Watch: (gifted) Michael Kors
Necklace: Fab Chic Envy ($5.99!)

I am loving vests lately. They are such a great layering piece. I think it made this outfit stand out and I love the pink detail down the zipper. This chevron print "dress" is never worn as a dress for me. I think its a bit short and I am always self-conscious that my backside will show with the slightest bend forward so I always pair it will leggings.

Outfit 2 Details:
Tunic/Dress: Everly via Shop Sosie
Vest, leggings, and boots: Forever 21
Necklace: Audrey by EllandEmm

I wore this bright outfit for my date night out with hubby and friends on Saturday. I didn't want to be too dressed up so I went with girly colors and boyfriend jeans. Usually on weekends I can be found in flats or tennis shoes so I was excited to finally have a reason to wear heels with my bf jeans. Isn't this necklace beautiful? I love the color and it looks so fancy but didn't break my wallet! It also matches Lily's glitter TOMS peaking out in the corner of this pic!

Outfit 3 Details:
Sweater: Target (on clearance for $7.48!)
Jeans: Target
Heels: Vince Camuto
Necklace: Le Mode Accessories
Bracelet: Alimonada

This lime colored tunic was the perfect backdrop to my raspberry bubble necklace and flats. I also scored this gold chevron necklace over the weekend to add another layer to my neck candy. Told you I was colorful this week!

Outfit 4 Details:
Tunic: A Cut Above
Bubble necklace: Fab Chic Envy
Pants: H&M
Chevron Necklace: Forever 21 ($6.80!)
Flats: Make Me Chic

Sometimes I coordinate my outfits with the Coast to Coast Challenge. I follow their feed on Instagram and they posts various challenges and invite their followers to join. I stumbled across it one day and thought it sounded like a fun idea and another way to be inspired. March 26th was Pastels and Brights.

Outfit 5 Details:
Sweater: Forever 21
Chambray Shirt, Mint Jeans, and Boots: Target
Link bracelet: (gifted) Juicy Couture
mint bracelet: (gifted)
spikey bracelet: Renegade Cluster bracelet by Stella & Dot

That's a wrap for this week. Join me next week and follow along here or on my Instagram feed (username jtcruzan). As usual, linking up with Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy.

It's Friday, I'm in Love {denim vest}

Someone get me a denim vest ASAP!

I have been seeing them pop up everywhere and I'm loving the come-back trend. Denim vests are such a versatile piece and adds a little something to any outfit. Here are some of my favorite ways they have been styled:

Denim vest with pants and 3/4 sleeve top // Denim vest over a tee and maxi skirt // Denim vest over a summer dress // Denim vest with shorts

Which way is your favorite? Which other ways do you like styling a denim vest?

Ava Turns Three!

Our Ava turned three this past Sunday, our St. Patty's baby. I still can't believe it. I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. She has grown into such a beautiful little girl and we love her so much!

She loves dresses and princesses. Her favorite foods are cheese pizza, french fries, rice and noodles. She loves to dance and sing silly songs from her favorite kid shows, Dora the Explorer, Yo Gabba Gabba, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She gets excited about bubble baths and loves her little sister.

Her smile melts my heart every time and I feel so blessed for every second she is with us!

Here are some pictures of her big day!
Ava in her new Cinderella dress!
The birthday girl at the head of the table!
With mommy and daddy
friends!

Time to sing and blow out the candle! This is her shy face!

Having so much fun!
More friends (Caitlyn, Lily, and Camille)
Lily had a great time too!
Ava and Auntie Seal
Opening presents with Daddy!
New headphones!

Now, okay I guess I can deal with having a three year old. But four better take a long time to come, because that means she will be starting pre-k and that's practically college as far as I am concerned.
