How I Wear: Polka Dot Jeans {4 ways}

I recently picked up a pair of polka dot jeans and I was so surprised at how many ways I could wear them!

I played dress up this weekend and had a surprise guest join my "photo shoot", lol!

I found these pair of polka dot jeans at Wal-mart (of all places) and they fit nicely and are very comfy.

This first outfit I'd wear out on a date night or fun night with girlfriends. The dots on
these jeans are very subtle so it was easy to pair with a different print like my leopard heels.

Outfit 1 Details:
Neon top - A Cut Above
Necklace - Wet Seal
Leopard Heels - Target

I love this combo so much. This floral peplum top makes me feel so girly and combined with polka dots makes me feel triple girly :)

Outfit 2 Details:
Shirt - Kohl's
Nude heels - Payless

This third outfit makes me feel like a rock star. Something about this leopard military jacket adds a bit of edge to any outfit. Love it with these jeans. I used to be so nervous about mixing prints but I'm getting more and more adventurous about it and its been fun!

Outfit 3 Details:
Jacket - Urban Outfitters
T-shirt - Kohl's
Necklace - Stella and Dot (rebel)
Booties - Forever 21

This last outfit makes me happy. Who wouldn't feel happy with a big fat heart on their chest? And I love the red wedges and necklace! I think it brings my outfit together.

Outfit 4 Details:
White button-up - New York and Company
Heart sweater - Old Navy
Necklace - gifted
Wedges - Payless

So which outfit is your favorite?

Oh, almost forgot my surprise guest. My one year old, Lily, wanted to join in on the fun!

So silly, love her!

It's Friday, I'm in Love!

There are some things I really want. Shocker, I know! But with my birthday looming around the corner I've been really trying to concentrate on the things I really really want. These are the things that really caught my attention this week.

I love these melon colored wedges from Seychelles ! They are perfect for the spring and summer. Same goes for the pink pumps.

I never thought I would ever wear camouflage pants or camo anything but I have been obsessed with them lately. And these pants are particularly awesome because they are reversible! The other side is green and I've been wanting a pair of hunter green pants so it's a win-win!

So let's talk about leopard oxfords.

I saw this picture while browsing through Pinterest. Then I clicked and discovered the fabulous Beth Parker of Seersucker and Saddles blog. She is so stylish and I loved this whole look (Check it out here). So after seeing how cute these Dolce Vita oxfords were I knew I had to have them. But you know I like a good bargain and guess what I found at Target? These babies! and for $40 less! #winning!

And last but not least, I've got summertime on my mind and I'm in need of a new bathing suit. I've lost all my baby weight and I'm ready to be in a bikini again. I saw this chevron swimsuit last weekend and I should have tried it on. I wonder how this top would look on me. But I love the color and the pattern so I hope it works out.

Would any of these items make your list of shopping cravings?

Happy Friday! And thanks for reading :)

Make a Statement!

One of my favorite trends is statement necklaces! Well accessorizing in general, but a good statement piece can really make an outfit stand out!

There are a bunch of spring necklaces that I am drooling over like these J. Crew ones.

1. Crystal Circle ($135) // 2. Mixed Crystals ($135) // 3. Fan Fringe ($148)

If I could I would buy them all, but I don't always have an extra $100 or so dollars to spare on an accessory.

I'm the queen of bargain shopping and I feel you don't have to spend lots of money to make the same kind of statement.

If you are like me, you'll find the alternative choices below will add the same effect to an outfit and are way more budget friendly.

1. English Rose via Le Mode Accessories ($28) // 2. Sparkles and Peonies via Le Mode Accesories ($28) // 3. Peter Pan Collar via Forever 21 ($11.99, on sale!) // 4. Mint Cabochon via Jeweliq ($25 and free shipping in the US) // 5. Sparkling Beaded Chain via Forever 21 ($10.80)

What do you think? Would you consider these steals?

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

In a recent post, I mentioned I was participating in a fun Instagram challenge. It's been fun so far and I've found so many outfit inspirations!

Another great place I've found outfit ideas is through linking up with Lindsey via her weekly wiww posts.

I've been getting over a cold and as much as I have wanted to stay home in my pjs, I've had to keep on truckin' and get dressed. Let's see how it worked out.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

We are those parents. The ones that know all the songs to Barney. We find ourselves singing along to Dora and dancing silly dances in the living room. We would do anything for our two little girls.

Ava, our two year old, happens to love the show, Yo Gabba Gabba. It's a crazy show with a very excited dj and his monster friends. They sing and dance and teach lessons like "don't bite your friends!"

It's like the new Sesame Street. Celebrities make guest appearances and musicians have silly videos to go along with the theme of the show.

Anyway, we missed the tour last year but we're so happy they went on tour this year near our city! I paid top dollar for the best section and we got so lucky. Our seats were front row, center!

For a whole month now Ava has been saying how excited she is and every time the show comes on t.v. she screams, "we are going to see them!"

I think I was more excited than she was this past Sunday. She was a bit star struck and shy. But it the priceless to see how her face lit up!

Some pics...

Pre-show with her pal, Hannah. She was dressed from head to toe yo Gabba!

Before the show started she was super excited!

The show is starting!

In awe! They were so close I think it freaked her out. She didn't let go of either of us!

They sang all her favorite songs like "it's time to dance", "peek-a-boo", and "get your sillies out!"

Time to say goodbye!

It's Friday, I'm in Love!

I've been feeling sickly and missed the weekly wiww post :(

But I did manage to do some online window shopping... Let's see what made my cravings this week!

Winter doesn't last long in Georgia and the warmer temps have got me looking forward to Spring. Pastels and florals are trending and I love the soft colors and fun prints of this week's finds.

And I know the black heels are very "springy" but I saw these this weekend at Vince Camuto and I've been obsessed ever since. What girl really has enough black heels anyway? And the bow detail is so adorable. And I've never worn this thick of a heel but I'm loving everything about these shoes!

Would any of these make your list?
Floral shirt // Yellow crew dress // Bow heels // Floral anorak (perfect for those spring showers) // Dotted shirt

Closet Remix Challenge

There is a fun game on Instagram going among ladies remixing their closets. This means no shopping and finding outfits currently hanging in the closet. I thought it would be fun to participate! I love seeing everyone's outfits that tag #closetremixchallenge.
Although most started on the first of February, I decided to see how I would do a few days ago. So the rest of February no more shopping for me! (Gasp!) But I can do it!
Here are my outfits from Day 1-3.

Do you want to be part of the fun? Just tag #closetremixchallenge!
Also look for me there @jtcruzan!
