Mommies' NIght Out

This past weekend my best friends and I met up in Atlanta for a night at the Fox Theatre to see Newsies, the broadway musical. I was so happy we met up. All of us have our own busy lives with kids, hubbies and work and it's hard to plan things.

Amy and I drove to Augusta to pick up Lauren. We then made the trip to Atlanta with barely any time to spare. We got ready really fast and headed downtown.

We enjoyed dinner at Poor Calvin's restaurant. The food was so yummy! I've been craving the lobster mac n' cheese ever since! I definitely recommend it!

After dinner we made our way to the Fox theatre. I have never been there before so it was nice to experience it for the first time. It's so much bigger than I imagined and it's beautiful inside.

I loved the Disney movie, Newsies, growing up and I remember all the songs from it. The show was great! Just as I expected it would be!

The weather was cold and rainy so we just headed back to Heather's house. But not before we went on a mission, for fast food dessert!

The girls and I changed into our pjs and chit-chatted some before going to bed. I love being able to spend some quality time with my besties. We have known each other since elementary school and have always remained close. I hope that never changes. Our babies will be second generation best friends.

Until our next adventure!

Buffalo Plaid Mania

I was on Instagram (shocker) and came across a post by @walkinginmemphisinhighheels regarding a link-up consisting of styling buffalo plaid. To say this print has been popular this fall and winter is an understatement. I have collected multiple buffalo plaid items so far and I decided it would be fun to join the link-up compiling all the ways I have styled  my buffalo plaid.

Which is your favorite?

Check out the Trend Spin Link-Up hosted by Walking in Memphis in High Heels and The Fashion Canvas for more buffalo plaid inspiration!

Stella & Dot Spring Collection

Last week I was invited to attend a Stella & Dot Rally with a stylist friend of mine downtown. I was excited to attend since the spring collection launched last Wednesday. Everything I saw was even better in person! I am most excited about how versatile the pieces are. The color scheme for spring is just gorgeous.

If you have not checked it out yet, you need to! I'm currently hosting a trunk show and I just happen to be giving a way an item from the new collection to one lucky shopper of my show! Shop now until February 6th!

Use the special link found here and get entered! I know you'll fall in love with something. I definitely did for sure!

Here are some pictures from the soiree:

#RockYourRedShoes Style Challenge

I recently picked up a pair of red flats from Forever 21. I wanted a pair just to add a pop of color in my wardrobe. I am so happy I ordered them because I teamed up with Loan of Skip to the Details and Emily of Sugar + Spice + Everything Mostly Nice for a fun style challenge-- Red Shoes Three Ways!

I opened up the style challenge to our Instagram community and I can't wait to see how everyone rocks their red shoes! I'll choose my favorites to feature on a future post!

This is how Loan, Emily, and I styled our red shoes!

Red shoes are so much fun, in any form they come in! It's a great classic color if you are dipping your toes in adding a pair of colored shoes in your closet.

I love how Loan and Emily styled their shoes!

30 Things...Updated {2014}

Back in January last year I created a bucket list of sorts. It was supposed to be a fabulous new beginning and an adventure since I was turning 30! I went back to the list I made for myself today. I gave myself a whole year to try to accomplish my list. Here is how I did.

Start Date: January 1, 2014
End Date: December 31, 2014

1. Make a list of resolutions.

2. Add money to the savings account.-- Well kind of... I added money there for our vacations and Christmas so there isn't much left to show for it...

3. Finish my "me" space project. (I started on a little creative nook in my bedroom for blogging and crafting... that was 3 months ago)-- I think I have done a lot to it so I think I can scratch it off!

4.  Take better outfit pictures for a legit outfit post.  My friend Dawn took a couple of shoots for me and I was so happy with how they turned out. It's just so hard to coordinate schedules!

5. Buy a tripod and remote.   I recently bought a selfie stick haha. Hopefully it will help me with talking my own outfit pics.

6. Reach 100 followers on the blog. -- I reached 73 on Bloglovin' and I'm up to 46 on Google Connect. But I have reached 126 on Facebook! So I think that counts!

7. Do a collaboration with another blogger.

8. Surprise my husband with a romantic getaway.

9. Start Zumba back up.-- Typical...I fell off my schedule and it ruined it all... I'll try to start this off again here shortly!

10. Enjoy a spa day.-- I did have one spa day. It was supposed to be for my 30th birthday bash. But my birthday kind of sucked in 2014.

11. Drink more water and less soda.

12. Send snail mail to at least one friend.  I hosted a fun exchange and participated in a couple of exchanges in Instagram!

13. Make a care package for someone just because.

14. Organize my closet.

15. Make at least one improvement in our home. -- We haven't started it year, but we have plans to convert our garage to a bonus room. I'll just move this over to my 2015 list.

16. Host a giveaway on Instagram/Blog.

17. Learn how to make a macaron.   I learned... I just suck at it!

18. Go out for a girl's night out on the town.

19. Order and frame family pictures.

20. Pay it forward to a stranger.

21. Learn how to make mom's recipe for pho.

22. Complete at least 5 Pinterest projects.

23. Pay off at least one credit card.

24. Take the family to Disney.  The girls had so much fun on our trip and I want to go again this year!

25. Rent a cabin.   We rented a cabin finally, for Thanksgiving. It was a blast!

26. Visit a new city.

27.  Revamp blog.

28. Make at least 5 crafts on my Silhouette machine.

29.  Get a gel manicure.

30. Do something fun to celebrate my 30th birthday. --I'm pretty sure I need a re-do

So all in all I accomplished 17 of the 30 things. I wasn't expecting to accomplish them all so that's pretty good. I'll work on my list for 2015. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should add to it?

I really want to accomplish things this year in honor of my mom. She worked two jobs up until she got sick to give her family everything. We lost her kind of unexpectedly and I don't believe she ever really got to enjoy her life like she deserved. I want to do things she would have enjoyed given the chance. I think it will keep her spirit with me too. So bring it, 2015!

Stay tuned for my new 30 things list for 2015!

Rocksbox #3

When I came home from Virginia the other day I came home to some awesome packages! One of them was my third Rocksbox!

Look at that pretty wrapped box! It's so exciting the moment I get to open it!

I just love this box! The cuff is so pretty and the color of those Loren Hope earrings is stunning! The dainty necklace is perfect for layering or just worn by itself!

The best part of this box was that little gold envelope!

How cute is this fun necklace I get to keep!? What a nice and fun gesture! I can't wait for my next box to arrive!

Want to join in on the fun? Sign up and receive a $25 gift card using this special link:
