I can't believe our little man is already 1 year old! Seriously, the year went by so fast! I remember him being so little and now he's all over the place! He has such personality now. In the past couple of weeks he's been very vocal. He will shake his head and tell you uh-uh when he doesn't want something. He can understand when you ask him for a kiss or tell someone bye-bye or hello. He loves to dance and play in everything he isn't supposed to.

He has seven teeth and is eating pretty much what we eat. He has discovered his love for jello and oreos! He just had his well-check and is 22 lbs, 8 oz. and is 29 3/4 inches long.

We recently had his 3rd milestone session with The Art of Birth Photography and I love how the photos came out.

I can't believe we are on to his second round of holidays :(

Levi's 2nd Milestones Session

Levi is growing so fast it's hard to catch up. We went in for his second milestones session in June and I feel like I need to schedule another one already because he'll be walking in no time.

He was a little over 7 months old here. I love all the detailed shots Dusti was able to capture from my little man. He just woke up from a nap and was not in the mood to show his brand new teeth to us but we did get some adorable smiles.

In this session we captured some big accomplishments like crawling and pulling up. I love the shots with his chunky feet and thighs... swoon. I wish he could stay this small forever.

Levi is 8 Months Old!

Levi is 8 months old! I swear it feels like we blink and he's growing so fast! Our little man is an explorer. He is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything. We have to keep a constant eye on him!


He's still such an easy and happy baby. He has just learned to wave hello and clap. He loves bubbles and gets so excited when you feed him his snacks.


He is moved up to size 9m clothes. He weighs 19 lbs. He's still breast feeding but is exploring solid foods too.


His sisters love to play peek-a-boo with him and he loves it, but he likes his own space too. He doesn't like anyone in his face or he gets super cranky.


He has two lower teeth and one of his top ones is about to break through the gums.


We have been enjoying the summer with him so far and can't wait for the fun to continue!

It's getting harder and harder to take these milestone shots. He kept wanting to peel the sticker off his shirt, hahaha!

Levi is 7 Months Old!

Today, our little buddy is 7 months old! Serious milestones have been reached since last month!

Levi can sit up on his own like a pro now and is even pulling up. Oh, and we can't forget... He's a full-time crawler now! We are going to have to be extra careful with things in his reach especially with the thousands of Lily's Shopkins laying around and Ava's Barbie accessories!

He has two bottom teeth and loves to bite! He is in between size 6 months and 9 months clothes and wears size 3 diapers. His little smile and cute belly laugh will melt your heart. He is 18 lbs. and 27.5 inches long.

He is still breast feeding and we have been exploring new foods like mango, watermelon and cantaloupe. I think we will try the puffs and yogurt melts soon!

He shows a bit of separation anxiety now when he thinks I'm leaving the room. He lets out the most pitiful cry and it breaks my heart.

Everything goes in his mouth nowadays.

Levi loves bath time now that he can sit up and splash around. He sleeps mostly through the night.

He is the easiest baby, always happy and smiling. We can't wait to do fun things with him this summer!

Levi is 6 Months Old!

Levi turned 1/2 a year old on May 9th! We have reached some big milestones recently. Last weekend he was very restless at night and gave the daycare workers a fuss on Monday and Tuesday. Turns out Levi's first tooth broke through the gums! I was expecting loads of drool prior so I didn't think he was ready but in a matter of two days from when I checked his gums last, out popped a tooth!






We have begun buying some 9 months clothes because even a few of his 6 months clothes are getting snug! He is still in size 3 diapers. He has been embracing baby food for the most part. Some new flavors we have introduced is peas, sweet potatoes, apples and pears. He is still nursing and still drinks 3 oz. a feeding.





He can sit up for a good bit before either toppling frontward or getting super excited and thrusting back. We have to watch  him but he's a lot more sturdy.



He's also pretty vocal these days. He squeals when he is excited and it's so funny.



We went to the pool for the first time and he didn't like the water too much because it was a bit chilly the day we went. But we went again yesterday and he had a ball!



Not sure if he's gained in weight or height since he had his last check up but I suspect he has. We will have to see at his 6 month appointment next week.


He continues to be the happiest and easy going baby. We love him to pieces!

 

Levi is 5 Months!

My little man is growing so fast! How is he 5 months old already? He's been so sick lately recovering from the flu and his second bout of RSV! Daycare germs are the worst! But at least he's building up his immune system (I guess I have to reach for the positive). He still has a lingering cough but hopefully he'll be 100% soon!


He weighs 16 lbs. 10.2 oz. and is 26 1/2 inches long. We introduced baby food. So far he's tried rice cereal, squash, and green beans. He has not showed any signs of disgust yet so we will continue with veggies. Next up is carrots!


He is holding his head up great during tummy time and is grasping at everything in front of him lately. He can sit for 10-15 minutes without any fuss in his baby bouncer or high chair.


He's such a happy boy and it doesn't take much to get a smile out of him.


We are now officially in 6 months clothes and size 3 diapers.


He likes to sleep on his stomach and rolls over any chance he gets.


He loves to play with his piggies and his baby laugh is everything. We love him so and can't wait for another milestone!

Levi is 4 Months Old!

Levi is 4 months old today. I don't know any of his stats because his doctor's appointment isn't until next week but I'll come back and post it here when I get it. He is more and more alert and loves to express himself with baby gurgles and coos.


He is a growing boy. He barely fits into his 3 months clothes. He has some long legs so we have been putting him in some 6 months clothes. He drinks mama's milk like a champ but is having a hard time transitioning to bottles. I think we need to integrate them more at home so he can take them better at daycare.


My boy is a very happy child. Any time I wake him from sleep or a nap he greets me with a big smile. He is laughing a lot now too. His favorite thing to do is suck on his hands and fingers but we have been working on keeping teething toys he can grasp so he doesn't choke. He is starting to use his fingers more to grasp at things. My necklaces are always at risk of breaking when I'm holding him.


Levi's head isn't so wobbly anymore and when propped up he can sit up pretty well. He can follow you pretty well with his eyes. He is a mighty kicker. He's close to rolling too when we place him on his play mat.


He is still drinking about 3 oz per feeding and he is not quite ready for baby food yet.


He sleeps pretty well and we are working to get him to sleep the whole night. We are close. He gives me a good stretch but still wakes to nurse at least once.


We love our little Levi man. His cheeks are to die for and we have been enjoying each milestone he reaches! We are about to celebrate his first Easter. Can't wait to dress him up and give him his first Easter basket.

Levi is 3 Months Old!

Levi is 3 months old! 

He's been the center of attention in our house since his arrival. His big sisters love to hold him and he gets about a million kisses a day from all of us. 

I've included all of his milestone pictures here so you can get a sense of how much he's grown!

At his two month appointment he was 24 inches and 12.8 lbs. He doesn't have another appointment until 4 months so I guess we won't know his stats for this month. But he is filling out for sure! He is drinking 3 ounces a feeding and wearing 3 months outfits. He is in size 2 diapers. 

He is doing great with breast feeding. It probably has been one of my best decisions for sure. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it. I love that bonding time we have together! 

We heard him laugh for the first time the other day! It was the cutest little sound ever! He follows with his eyes and is constantly smiling. 

Overall he is such a happy baby. He rarely cries.

He sleeps great. He usually goes down around 8:00 and sleeps until about 12-1 for a feeding. Then gets up again around 4-5. 

He likes to look in the mirror at his reflection and his favorite position is being held over your shoulder. 

He has begun to drool but no signs of teeth. 

He is the light our lives and we can' t wait for more milestones! We love our little Levi man!
