What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

The 2014 Closet Remix continues. It's a IG tag-up with other ladies vowing not to shop for a whole month and remixing items in their closets instead. So far I'm going strong. I have been staying away from tempting retail emails and closing my eyes when I walk through Target. I've decided if I can't shop for shoes, clothes, or jewelry it will give me the extra mula to pick up a few things for my office nook project (#3 on my 30 Things list).

Here are more outfits from the week. Of course I'm linking up with Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy! Check her out to get the scoop on all that is "What I wore"

Getting Ish Done!

Last week while I was on vacation I was able to start some things on my "30 Things" list. For one, I made my first deposit into my savings account (#2). Granted it was only $1 but it's a start! I am joining in on the 52 week money challenge. The most I have to deposit is $52 so why not? It will be a great accomplishment at the end. Plus, this will keep me accountable for adding money to my savings.

Another item on my list was to learn how to make 5 crafts on my Silhouette machine (#28)
I was excited  I accomplished a few successfully!

I'm a bit obsessed with monograms lately so I decided to add one to spruce up my planner...

and my rain boots!

I made some decals for an IG friend to adorn on her rain boots too! My favorite would have to be this print! I love how the macaron came out! I can't wait to frame it!

Have you been accomplishing any of your goals so far in 2014? I hope this momentum keeps up!!

30 Things

Well it always comes with the new year... A new list of resolutions. Mine is more like a mini bucket list of sorts. I am turning 30 this year so I thought it would be fun in honor of such a milestone. I don't want to be depressed about my last few months in my twenties. I want to accomplish stuff! Plus, I am a fan of lists and I love nothing more than scratching things off lists! I was inspired to make a list from Kira of  Keeping Up with Kira and Whitley of Simply Whit in a Sequined Life.  I know I won't be able to accomplish it all but it will be fun to see how many I do get to mark done! I'm giving myself a year. Here goes.

2014 Edition of Closet Remix Challenge

Back in February 2013 (Closet Remix Challenge post 1 and more here  and here) I went a whole month without shopping and participated in a "Closet Remix Challenge'.  A month without shopping is unheard of for me usually but I am trying to recoup from all the Christmas purchases so I thought it was a good idea for me to join the challenge again this year! I met a lot of my early IG friends this way by going through all the hashtags (#closetremixchallenge) the last time. I enjoyed getting outfit inspiration and encouragement from all the wonderful ladies.

Here is Day 1: kicking it off super casual!

Details:
Leggings - Aerie (similar here)
Black Shirt - Target (similar here)
Shoes - Walmart with DIY monogram

Feel free to join me and follow along on Instagram (@jtcruzan)! Thanks to @jen_murph for hosting it! Follow hashtag: #2014closetremixchallenge
