Currently Cruzans

There is much to catch you up on.  Summer has officially ended and we were able to squeeze in one last beach mini-vacation before the girls started school.  We went to Amelia Island and it was such a nice trip. It was not too far away and we had a stretch on a private beach and the fun amenities of a fancy resort.

On August 6th the girls started school. Ava started kindergarten and Lily started pre-k (tear!) Where has the time gone?! Both of them have done great so far. I think Ava is having some adjustment issues since she was used to a longer nap time during the day because she’s been coming home exhausted. We have our little routine ironed out.  My work schedule works perfectly so I can get them ready in the morning. We all leave the house at the same time so I have Noah’s help too.  Evening routine has been great too.  Dinner, Bath Time, Story Time, Make lunches and then bedtime. The only thing we need to really work on is Lily. She needs to get out of my bed!  Because once the baby gets here, that simply won’t work.

The same week Ava started back at school she lost her first tooth! The tooth fairy has been to my house twice in the last month! What is life trying to throw at me already?! First kindergarten, then two baby teeth gone! Ava has already grown like a weed during the summer. She’s definitely not a baby anymore and it’s a bit much for this hormonal pregnant mom to deal with so far!

She also started back at ballet and tap this year. It will be her second year and I hope she loves it as much as she did last year. I still don’t think Lily has the attention span for it just yet but she will be ready next year.
And in baby news, we still have no name for Baby C. Noah is trying his hardest to convince me to name the baby Leviathan. I don’t hate the name but I also don’t love it. Boys’ names are just plain harder than girls. But as I approach my third trimester I’m feeling anxious for this kid to have a name.
Yes people,  third trimester! I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by already. I’m sure these next few months will drag on now that I’ve said that.  I’ve been lucky enough to have a pretty uneventful pregnancy so far. No real nausea or complaints. He is very active. I’m excited for my next ultrasound when I can see the baby again. I love being able to hear his little heart beating at each appointment but there is just something about seeing him on the sonogram. My last one was at 20 weeks. He’s grown plenty since then so I can’t wait to see him!
