Ten on Ten

Ten on ten really should be ten photos in ten consecutive hours and its supposed to be about finding beauty in the ordinary. But let's face it, I'm in an office for 8 out of those 10 hours and there is only so much beauty to be found in a cubicle.

So my twist on ten on ten is ten pictures from today.

1. Here's my office pic. So much beauty, I know.

2. I learned a new way to tie my scarf. It's my new fav thanks to a fun Internet tutorial. You can find anything on that internets :)

3. My breakfast. Yum yum!

4. Went home to let Oskar boy out.

5. Candy corn season :)

6. Baby Lil in her new outfit! What a cutie!

7. My big girl relaxing before dinner.

8. Lily was trying to grab at the sun light coming through the blinds lol.

9. My dinner. This is 143383 points on weight watchers I'm sure.

10. We sang and had cake for Mimi's birthday tonight since she's traveling this weekend.

A Date Night With Ava

Last Friday grandma watched Lily so Noah and I could take Ava out for a night all to herself. We had been building this night up so she was very excited to get to see some of her favorite people in concert!

She had a great time this past spring seeing the Barney show at Universal Studios. It was so great to see her face light up when all the characters she's used to seeing on tv in person. So I knew she would love this concert and I couldn't wait to see her face light up again.

She kept asking "where are they mommy" as we were waiting for the show to start. Once they came out she hopped out of her chair and was cheering and clapping. It was so cute!

She knew all the songs and danced her little heart out. I tried to capture it on video but it was too dark.

This was the freeze dance. She's in her freeze pose :)

I'm so happy we were able to give her our undivided attention. I feel like that is so important. I don't want her to ever think we don't have time for her anymore.

On the way home she said, "ok, let's go to the Yo Gabba Gabba show!"... Guess that's next on the list!

My baby is growing up so fast! It amazes me the things she's learned and the things she comes up with. We are constantly laughing. She just doesn't know what joy she brings to our lives. I just want to do the freeze dance and keep her this small forever!

It's Friday, I'm in Love!

Forever 21's new arrivals have some real gems right now! Drooling over these! And they are all under $35!

Blue contrast waist pants! Love the color and perfect for work!

Adore the side zipper and fit of these military green jeans!

Black and gold braided ring.

Tasseled booties. The heel height is perfect!

Teal belted sheath dress. Very flattering and love the color!

Studded contrast collar tunic. Classic shirt.

Happy Friday everyone! Any big plans? We have a busy, fun-filled weekend ahead and I'm excited :)

Inspired

I have really enjoyed being a part of the blogging world. I initially started reading my friends' blogs to keep up to date on their lives and slowly came across random strangers' blogs I enjoyed reading for a variety of reasons; crafts, fashion ideas, dynamic family life, recipes, etc.

I started to blog because it was a therapy for me, to document special moments in my life, and it has become a medium for me to express creative ideas.

But what I was most surprised about with this whole exploration was that I would feel so inspired. I love reading about successful and strong women. I like reading about other moms and how they handle their busy family lives but still do what they love.

A good example of these women is one of the blogs I have bragged about before in a previous post,

Lisa Leonard Blog

Lisa is a mom, a wife, and an entrepreneur. She has taught me to embrace the unexpected and find joy in every moment. She's pretty awesome and her growing blog is getting more and more popular. And now she's getting her own T.V. show! I was excited seeing the trailer because I was able to hear her voice and get a glimpse inside her life I have been reading about for the past couple of years.

Her story has really inspired me to get started in what I really want to do. I want to be able to turn my creative ideas into a reality and love what I do. I needed that push and I thank Lisa (among many other bloggers/women) for it :)
Here is a link to the trailer. I can't wait to follow along!
