What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

Hey there! Welcome to wiww. For those new to this it's a place where women come together for outfit inspiration. It's also a great motivating tool! It encourages me to try new things and mix things up with pieces in my closet I wouldn't have put together before. It's just plain fun! So check it out. Linking up with Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy.

I adore this lip stain sweater. Super girly and makes a fun statement.

Hello Monday {Oyster Festival}

We drove up to Charleston for a short trip to visit family and go to the Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation. My family loves seafood and we can definitely put down some oysters!
So a few hellos from our weekend...
Hello uncle Ti. All the kids have always feared him for who knows what reason, but he such a sweet person and loves the kiddos!
Hello tractor rides. We stood in line for an hour just to get on one to take us to the festival. Our family alone took up a cart.

Hello two buckets of heaven!

Hello hard work! My sister and I have some determined looks trying to shuck these babies. Good thing we are professionals. Not really, but pretty close to being one!
Hello yummy reward! Top this baby with hot sauce, lemon, a little bit of salt and pepper and its a slithery piece of goodness!
Hello Ava! She had a great time blowing bubbles, making her own balloon animal and getting her face painted. Madison came back with a dolphin, Camille, a star, and my child comes back with a blue dot, hahaha!
Hello pearls! Best buddies, Camille and Madison!
We had a great time and stuffed ourselves on oysters, elephant ears, cookies, and key lime pies on a stick!
I think I've had enough oysters to hold me over for a good long while! Fun times!

It's Friday, I'm in Love!

Oh man! Finally Friday!
I am overwhelmed with all the new arrivals at all my favorite stores and shops! Makes me want to blow my whole pay check today. But since that's not realistic I'll just do some dreaming and internet "window" shopping :)
Here's what I found:
1. These pastel beauties by ILY COUTURE make me look forward to spring! It's hard to chose what color I'd want, but I think the pink is standing out!

2. I saw this purse at Target last weekend and I don't know what I was thinking not grabbing it. It looks so close to the J Crew version and I love the pop of color! If it's not there when I go back this weekend I'm going to cry. Well maybe not cry, I'll just have to order it online! It comes in yellow, blue, and mint too! I want them all!

3. Tribal cardigans are everywhere and I want one! This one from Forever 21 is only $27.80!

4. After seeing Shelby from Glitter and Gingham rocked these leopard pants I instantly wanted them! They look so comfy and I loved how she styled it with a bright top! Find them here!

5. I am still in search of a pair of cobalt heels. I like these from Franco Sarto! I see so many future outfits with these blue babies!

6. Another great Forever 21 find today while I was browsing their new arrivals was this awesome neon colorblock crossbody! It can be a clutch too but I'm loving neon if you couldn't tell and for $19.80, it's such a deal!

It's hard to resist so much temptation. Which one do you think I should choose if I could just buy one?

What I Wore Wednesday {wiww}

I don't know about you, but I'm happy it's Wednesday! One day closer to the weekend! We are planning on a trip to Charleston to visit family and hang out at the Boone Plantation Oyster Festival! And if you have never met me I'm telling you right now, this girl can eat her share of oysters!

Omg, #gamechanger

Instagram is my new bff.

I've been trying to think of a way to make my outfit posts better since I'm delving into this style blog world. I see so many cute blogs and either these girls have very talented hubbys and gfs to take their pictures or they are using a tripod, remote, and slr camera.

(Pics taken off blogs: kendieveryday.com, hellofashionblog.com,Kacieskloset.blogspot.com, and Puttingmetogether.com)

I went the hubby route but he laughed when I asked him and then I thought about purchasing a tripod for my Nikon. But I am mainly blogging from my phone and the whole process of editing and transferring pics just didn't seam feasible for me.

But thanks to @ascotfriday (via Instagram), she revealed her secret to taking pics and I'll be forever grateful!!

Her Instagram pic led me to her post here!

I totally wondered if she just had random people take her pics or a fancy photog following her cute family around on the weekends lol!

This is the pic I saw. Aren't they too cute?

So how does she do it?

Drumroll please.... Spiderpodium for the iPhone! Genius! Look it up people! I found mine here!

Now I don't have to take pics in the bathroom at work anymore! Hooray!

It's going to be a total game changer! My lovely podium will be arriving on Wednesday! Can't wait to play around! What I like about this device is that you can attach it to non-flat services. I already have the self timer app so this is really going to make accessing my pics so easy.

So stoked! Ok, just a random rambling for the night. Goodnight!

But really, I'm excited!
